Hello everyone! Eva Pizarro here to bring you a quick tutorial for a super fun and cute card for this spring. I love to make cards, but sometimes I feel like I do the same things all the time. For this card I wanted to create something a bit different, so I created a window in the front and added some small stitched shapes.
It is always hard to sew through small pieces of paper but here’s a tip! Start with a plain piece of paper – the kind you use for your printer is perfect! Do some stitches and begin feeding your shapes. After the first one, do two or three stitches more and add another. Continue doing this until you finish all your shapes.
Tear the paper very carefully and remove your garland.
Cut a circle in the card and decorate it. I used some clouds from a paper in the Home Grown collection and added flowers using the chipboard shapes. I love them! They are ready for use straight from the package and there are a lot of them in there!
Attach your raindrop garland on the back using washi tape. If you don’t want the washi to show, you can attach them in the front of the card before decorating it. Finally, put the message inside the window.
These cards are very simple but have a great effect! The shapes turn a bit and they look lovely when you open the card!
I also did one with little hearts and a message written with some thickers.
I hope you like them and that they brighten your day as much as they did mine! Have a great week!
Eva
